The Norwegian EV Association supports more than 120,000 members nationwide, offering charging access, policy advocacy, and a range of services designed to make electric vehicle ownership easier. Its flagship app, Elbilappen, brings together charging, membership benefits, vehicle testing and battery health insights, and now route planning — creating a seamless, all-in-one experience for EV drivers.
Ruteplanning (route planning) was the most-requested feature in member surveys. It needed to solve a specific, high-stakes problem: helping EV drivers confidently plan long-distance trips without running out of charge — accounting for real-world battery drain, available chargers, and vehicle-specific range.
